UBOAT PC Game – Review:

The production action was set during World War II. While playing UBOOT, players take on the role of the captain of a German submarine, who, along with his crew, performs various missions, commissioned by the command of the Kriegsmarine. The title tries to stick to real events, although the fate of the sailors lies solely in the hands of the players.

UBOAT PC Game and Switch is an unusual combination of mechanics native to Silent Hunter and Fallout Shelter. Thus, the command of the ship is not only to maneuver and launch torpedoes, but above all to actively participate in the life of the crew, take care of their needs, assign appropriate functions, etc. Each sailor is a separate unit, having a unique appearance, abilities and problems with which he can sometimes turn to the superior. Each of them reacts differently to our actions.

On board, we must maintain discipline, but being too strict will lead to a deterioration in the mental state of the crew . As a result, for example, one of the soldiers may attack his colleagues, and the other may make a mistake and expose himself as a spy. In addition to all this, it is on our shoulders to take care of the physical needs of the crew, so we must provide our people with food and rest. The well-being of the sailors directly translates into their will to fight, without which they will not be of much use.

UBOAT PC Game and Switch is a three-dimensional production, but the command of the sailors looks similar to the game Fallout Shelter-so the camera often shows us a vertical cross-section of the ship. The submarine itself has been very accurately recreated and during the fun we can look at various parts, such as ballast tanks, compressors, etc.
